CMA of Texas Songwriter of the Year Thom Shepherd is an Austin, Texas-based touring artist who spent many years as a songwriter in Nashville. He is the writer of five #1 singles, over 10 singles and had more than 100 songs recorded by artists including Easton Corbin, Pam Tillis, John Anderson, Lorrie Morgan, ColtFord, Bucky Covington, George Jones, Trailer Choir, Montgomery Gentry, BuddyJewell, and Cledus T. Judd.

This class will discuss the structure of songs, how to develop ideas for songs and into songs. You will write and rewrite your own song and record it. Thom will also go over what to do with your song once it has been recorded and how to copywrite and distribute it. Class is every other Wednesday from Feb 26 through May 6 at MCS. Tuition: $75.
