Welcome to the Music Conservatory of Sandpoint

The Music Conservatory, founded by Ruth Klinginsmith and Karin Wedemeyer, opened its doors in 2009 with only 16 students in its first semester. Now, nearly 200 students of all levels and ages are part of our many exciting programs and classes. The Conservatory offers one-on-one classes in a great variety of instruments, small group classes, String Ensemble, Drama, Musical Theater, Children's Choir and more. All students have plenty of opportunity to perform in recitals and concerts in their style of music from classical to contemporary. The Conservatory is an accredited school of performing arts!

Baby Little Mozarts ages 0 - walking!
This program is a sequential early music education program that nurtures children's natural musical abilities from the earliest time on. This class helps develop these skills through play, dance, singing and age appropriate rhythmic games fun for parents and child. These classes are Orff and Kodaly based, both highly regarded and recognized early childhood education programs.
